Introducing BANCAIMS...
 
BANCAIMS is for banks that sell insurance products (life and general insurance) to their clients. BANCAIMS is for the Bank who finds out for the customer the right Cover at the best price amongst the range of Insurance packages available. BANCAIMS manages a bank’s entire insurance broking back-office operation, leaving its staff to focus on procuring more business and spending more time in the front office. The product enables the banker to give a high quality, prompt and efficient service to clients via various in-built tools and functionalities.
 
Features and functionalities of BANCAIMS are grouped as follows: ProfileManager TM
 
BANCAIMS allows creation and maintenance of comprehensive profiles of clients as well as Insurance companies / branches. Client profiles broadly contain two knowledge / information bases i.e. client's personal details and his / her policy details. A client's Policy detail further contains a profile of all Insurance polices taken by the client, claims reported, endorsement details and upcoming policy renewals / premium due. Similarly, in the case of a client being a Company / Corporate, BANCAIMS additionally provides recording of information such as (whether it's a) Group Company, Contact details of officers and directors, Paid Up capital etc.

Profiles of Insurance companies contain detailed information of individual Insurance Companies and their branches such as their addresses, contact details and comprehensive details of Insurance products and their coverages.

The system also maintains the details of the medical panel. The system sends letters / email to the customers for medical checkup appointments.

 
Business Management
 
BANCAIMS is geared to manage a Banker's daily needs of insurance business. Ranging from assigning revenue targets to its insurance staff, to tracking commissions earned by the Sales staff and branches and ultimately commissions earned by the Bank, are accurately monitored and recorded through every policy transaction done within BANCAIMS . The software allows business transactions to be recorded from Bank's branch offices with built-in secure and controlled access rights and permissions. All insurance transactions such as Creation of Proposals, issuance of Placement slips, Cover Notes, Claims Registration, Renewal / premium Notices and Accounts are tightly integrated to one another and therefore allows retrieval of effective and perspective information instantly. The system has provision for renewal of lapsed policies.
 
Reports
 
BANCAIMS is based on a relational database management system (RDBMS) and therefore allows you to view your business and client's information in many different perspectives. It also enables you to generate reports based on your specific requirements apart from standard provided reports such as:
  • Commission earned / projection Statements
  • Brokerage Register
  • Premium Registers
  • Upcoming Renewals / premium due Lists
  • Customer Status Report
  • Approved/Pending Policy List
  • Letters / mails to customers / Insurance companies
  • Yield statement on premium / sum insured / commission
Architecture
 
BANCAIMS is based on a client-server architecture whereby data resides on a dedicated database server (RDBMS) and clients on a local area network (LAN) or Wide Area Network (WAN) can access the data and process information.
 
Modules
 
Though tightly integrated, BANCAIMS consists of three functional modules working in tandem. These modules are:

UnderWriting
Comprehensive facilities are provided in the Underwriting module to record Client, Insurer and Policy information. The module covers all activities from Quotations, Medical appointments, Premium calculations to Policy writing and endorsements. Reminder letters/ emails for renewals / premium are also generated by the system.
Claims
The Claims module provides recording, processing, reporting and settling of Client claims of any class of business in a fast, simplified and efficient manner.
Accounting
Accounting transactions generated for every Policy and Claim is recorded automatically within this module. Accounting includes General Ledger, Receivables, Payables and Bank Reconciliation. If required, the system can be customized to generate interface transactions for the Bank’s Accounting module.
 
System Requirement
 
BANCAIMS works on Oracle / Microsoft SQL Server or above as the database Server and Seagate Crystal Report or above. BANCAIMS can be deployed on a Windows 2000 server, Novell-Netware or Windows NT servers.

Client machines require a Pentium PC with a minimum of 128 MB RAM, Microsoft Office 2000 and running Microsoft Windows 98 or higher operating system and/or Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher for web based functionality.
